About the St. Albans MUC
The St. Albans Municipal Utility Commission is a municipally-owned water and wastewater utility created by city ordinance on August 3, 1953. The Utility Commission serves as the policy-making body for the system as regulated by the Public Service Commission of West Virginia and Bond Covenants adopted by St. Albans City Council.

Update on St. Albans Water Plant & Boone County Oil Spill
On Monday, February 7th, water samples were collected throughout the system due to the reports of the Boone oil spill. All samples were delivered to the State Health Department Lab that same day. On Wednesday, February 9th, we received the results of those samples. In ALL samples, no contamination of any kind was found to be present. Thank You.
